Putting the band into a specific genre is no easy task; they each have a passion for a wide variety of music which becomes apparent in their craftsmanship. They have a zeal for artists ranging from Frank Zappa, Birthday Party and King Crimson to 65dos, Russian Circles and The Mars Volta. Some might place this brotherhood within the prog-rock bracket, others maybe shoegaze or post-rock, but perhaps most comprehensively they are known simply as instrumental Rock. Regardless of their ‘official’ genre they approach composition with fun, volume and performance reward in mind, while all the time encompassing their own unique flavour. obeband@bancamp.com
